the weather just started to cool down in NY and i can finally wear jeans without feeling like my face is sweating off. also, i am so awk in front of the camera. too awkward.

even though i love heels, they are not that practical walking around NY's uneven streets. this is what I wore on a mini college reunion with some friends. you can't deny the view from the soho mondrian.

 this is the best thing after a day of NY smells. i swear, NY has the largest concentration of body odors.

PS1 black python. 'nuff said.

a good salad: spinach, chickpeas, avocado (duh), corn, and a fried egg. dress it with a dash of balsamic.

i love my friends. end of story. there are always good times and stories involved. but it doesn't hurt if there is some pink sangria to liven things up. another thing i love? NY balconies.

Lollapalooza was last weekend in chicago. a time where the fashionably hip and the music obsessed sweat in the summer heat making new friends and posing for blogs. i personally am not a music-festival type of girl. i really enjoy the simple things, like a chair. but looking at style pics, i really admire the details of these festival-goers' outfits. rock on.

stylemint review

it is no secret that i am OBSESSED with MKA. i was obsessed with them when they had their whole detective series. i own an unhealthy amount on VHS.

last month their StyleMint company had a "mystery bag" offer and i jumped at it. the whole premise of StyleMint is a membership website that offers limited t-shirt styles every month. Each t-shirt is made of quality material and costs $30. the "mystery bag" includes 3 t-shirts in a chosen size. i was skeptical because i knew that the t-shirts in these "mystery bags" are probably styles that didn't sell well in past months. but i took the chance anyways.

all nicely packaged! 

truth time: i don't wear that much color and i'm not a big fan of prints. thus this package was disappointing. i took a risk and it didn't pay off. the fabric is nice, but i can't wear these shirts. i'll probably wear it to sleep or painting. the floral or tie-dye shirts don't offend me so much. but the star print? i wouldn't wear that even if i was in third grade. #sadpanda

summer is slowly coming to a close and i don't want to say bye. summer has been very good to me.

olympic opening ceremony

yes, i'm fashionable late to post about the opening ceremony fashions. here are my top countries:

India. i am a sucker for a good sari. saris are so beautiful, as are the indian women who wear them.

Guyana. this is solely to the women rocking the reg power suit. meow.

El Salvador. where can I get this ombre cardigan? 

Netherlands. i personally bleed orange and green (go Miami!) but i love the bold colors and the clean lines. and the guys are gorgeous.
