as the weather in new york is starting to cool down, i'm forced to add more layers to my outfits. thus, i am transferring this same mentality to my jewelry regimen. my tip: place a pretty bowl filled with baubbles next to where you keep your keys. thus, you are always accessorized! no excuses.

more is more
continuing my metallic trend, this post is dedicated to gold. i love anything shiny, but i especially love gold. it's so luxurious, grand and down right classy. it's both modern and traditional.

trend alert: metallics
metallic, specifically silver is going to be huge this fall. so many silver/metallic jeans are out right now, but i like my metallics more in my accessories. i think more is more when it comes to layering accessories. but then again, i do occasionally do like to look like a disco ball.
i am one of Gallery Atlantic's new blogger stylist! so happy to be part of the team! below are some of my top picks incorporating the metallic trend. i tend to fluctuate between being really girly and pretending to be hard core. hence the mix of sequins and swords.

NYFW, part 3
Alexander Wang: black, white, glow-in-the-dark. oh, and lots of cutouts.
Badgley Mischka - I feel like this is what modern-day fairies would wear.
Naeem Khan - perfect for all my black-tie affairs.
Oscar de la Renta - preppy perfect for the really rich lady who lunches
Vera Wang - structured lace and ballet heels. you know, for the ballerina on the go.
Victoria, Victoria Beckham - perhaps Mel C collaborated with her on this sporty spice looks? you don't need Victoria Beckham's body to fit into these looks. pass the cookies please.

Join Copious!
Copious is an online platform (kinda like etsy) where regular people like you and me can shop from other fashionable closets! I recently moved my "shop haute like wasabi" shop to Copious just because you can reach a wide audience in one place. I even managed to score my first sale. cha-ching!
Last week to kick off NYFW, Copious had a blogger event at Elk Studios and I got on the fun snapping these silly pictures with Emma (@EmmaStarks) and Greta (@gretaeagan).
my personal fav!
i can't resist a photo-op with a mustache.

NYFW, part 2
Altuzarra - gorgeous collection. i kept thinking Ralph Lauren/J.Crew goes to bollywood.
Jenni Kayne - California chic. get me some saltwater for my hair asap.
Monique Lhuillier - lots of prints. pretty lines for the pretty girl.
Nicholas K - i need those glasses and all those luxurious layers. a collection i can really see wearing.
Tadashi Shoji - gorgeous fabrics and refreshing to see color. who would have thought that color for spring is genius?
Victoria Beckham - she was channeling sporty spice with posh fabrics. winning.

NYFW, part 1
BCBG - loving the harness and lace. it's perfect for those sweet girls with a bad side after midnight.
Erin Fetherston - the hair is to die for. but the clothes are perfect when you want to look effortless without trying too hard.
Honor - luxe fabrics with dreamy silhouettes. swoon.
Kimberly Ovitz - the typical bad-ass designer produced a gorgeous collection that showed her softer side. there are plenty of unique angles that still make these dresses please your inner tough chick.
Tanya Taylor - the perfect balance between tailored and full skirts. i need to start my crunches now to fit into all those cutouts and midriffs.
